Mumbai, Mental health advocate Anshula Kapoor attended the launch of Therapist, and founder of Kare Counselling, Kareena Mehta’s (Ed.M., M.A.) debut book, Letters From Your Therapist: On Love and Loss, alongside the unveiling of Kare Collective, a thoughtfully designed collection of psychology-inspired products and conversation tools. The event took place at IFBE, Ballard Estate, Mumbai, bringing together mental health professionals, wellness advocates, creators, and members of the public for a meaningful evening centered on emotional wellbeing and connection.
As the special guest speaker, Anshula Kapoor joined Kareena Mehta for an engaging conversation on mental health, self-awareness, relationships, grief, and healing.
Published as a compassionate guide to navigating life’s emotional challenges, Letters From Your Therapist: On Love and Loss draws from Kareena Mehta’s years of experience as a therapist, offering readers practical insights and reflections on love, heartbreak, loss, self-worth, and personal growth. Written in an accessible and empathetic voice, the book seeks to extend the support of therapy beyond the consulting room.
The event also marked the launch of Kare Collective, an initiative by Kare Counselling. Designed to encourage reflection, foster meaningful conversations, and strengthen emotional awareness, the collection features psychology-inspired interactive games such as Breakthrough, Personify, and Food For Thought, each thoughtfully created to encourage self-reflection, storytelling, deeper connections, and greater emotional awareness.
Kareena Mehta emphasized the importance of creating resources that empower individuals to better understand themselves and build healthier relationships. Together, the book and Kare Collective reflect her ongoing mission to make mental health support more accessible, relatable, and integrated into everyday life.
About Therapist Kareena Mehta:
Kareena Mehta (Ed.M., M.A.) is a Mumbai-based mental health counsellor, author, and founder of Kare Counselling and Kare Collective. Trained at Teachers College, Columbia University, with further specialisation in positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and trauma-informed care from Trauma Institute International, Kareena’s work focuses on making emotional conversations more accessible beyond the therapy room.
Drawing from years of therapeutic practice in New York and India, she created Kare Counselling as a space for ethically grounded and globally informed mental health care. Her latest initiative, Kare Collective, extends this vision through psychology-inspired books, games, and conversation tools designed to encourage reflection, connection, and meaningful dialogue in everyday life. Kareena is also the author of Letters From Your Therapist: On Love and Loss, a reflective collection of therapist-written letters exploring themes of love, grief, identity, relationships, and emotional healing within the contemporary South Asian context.
