Kolkata, 4th February, 2025: Oudh 1590, Chowman, Chapter 2 & Chaudhury & Company, four of Kolkata’s most iconic restaurant chains, joined hands to organize the third edition of Walk-O-Mile. This Walkathon is aimed at promoting workplace well-being, health, fitness and camaraderie among employees. This unique initiative stands out as the only walkathon organized by any restaurant chain for their employees in the city.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1600 employees, fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration while emphasizing the importance of a healthy work-life balance. The walkathon was flagged off at 6 am by the children from Basha Foundation along with restaurateurs and founders of Chowman, Oudh 1590, Chapter2 & Chaudhury & Company, Mr Shiladitya Chaudhury and Mr Debaditya Chaudhury.
The participants covered a total of 5 Km stretch as they covered places like, Golpark, Gariahat, Deshapriya Park, Southern Avenue and the walk concluded at the starting point, Southern Samity Ground.

The event’s award ceremony was graced by the august presence of Additional Commissioner Of Police West Bengal, Mr Santosh Pandey, Former Cricketer & Coach, Mr Sambaran Banerjee, Former Footballer, Mr Arnab Mondal, Fitness Expert Mr Ranadeep Maitra Metabolic Health Physician, Dr Parikshit Bhattacharya
& Additional Commissioner of Police – Traffic, Mr Ashish Roy who felicitated the best participants on the parameters of discipline, attendance, time management, punctuality and performance.
